Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
Six years
What is your primary product or service?
Eco-friendly building materials sold and installed: American Clay Natural Earth Plasters for interiors, EcoTop counters and Eco-Timber flooring products. We also sell and install SAFRA Italian plaster and Tadelakt, the ancient Moroccan plaster that can be used for interiors and exteriors.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Eve Gray is a former faux-finish artist who was looking for more depth and durability in her wall creations. Her search led her to Venetian plaster, and she was awarded top status as a SAFRA master artist after twice studying in Italy under Gianfranco Fioroni. Then she began to get interested in "green" building products and turned her plaster talents to American Clay. Eve received the highest levels of American Clay training and became one of their instructors, in addition to leading her crew of plaster artists in applications throughout the Southeast. The Tuscan Impressions crew is now the most experienced team of American Clay applicators east of the Mississippi, and Eve often is dispatched by American Clay Enterprises to teach new dealers.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Eve's years of work as a design consultant, her eye for space use and color and her creativity would be enough to distinguish most artists. Then there is her honesty, her ability to listen and her integrity in serving the interests of clients.
