Austell First United Methodist Church is located in South Cobb County, in the downtown district of Austell, just north of the railroad tracks. Sunday worship begins at 11 a.m. This historic congregation is reaching out to our community in new and exciting ways. We are very intentional about sharing the love of God with those in our area. New energy abounds as we welcome our new pastor and his family. It is our vision to be a congregation that matches its community- a place where people of all races, ages, economic stages and faith experiences come together to worship, grow and serve. After all, the family of God is a gathering of young and old, black and white, rich and poor, life-long churched folks and new Christians. It is our desire for Austell First UMC to be a place that helps to transform its community. We are engaged in this community by serving a Free Thursday Night Community Dinner in our Fellowship Hall each week. We house a tuition-free preschool (Feed My Lambs). We are Partners in Education with the Austell Primary School next door and an active supporter of Sweetwater Valley CAMP (community food pantry and clothing center). Members deliver birthday gifts to the residents of a local assisted living facility (Bethel Gardens). We even host a Wednesday night Free Low-Impact Aerobics class. I hope that you will be our guest in the near future and will consider becoming a part of this church family. Austell First UMC is the place for you if you desire to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and make a difference in your community. While our history is grand, we truly believe the best is yet to come!
