Counseling and Psychotherapy for Children and Adults. Focusing on Mind, Body, Spirit .
I work with individuals in finding balance, healing, and wholeness. I can assist in a variety of areas - including self esteem, abuse/trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, life changes, and relationship concerns. I use mindfulness-based approaches, somatic psychotherapy, play and art therapy, as well traditional cognitive therapy. I enjoy working with both children and adults.
With children, I use play therapy and art to explore concerns such as abuse, behavior issues, ADHD, anxiety, grief, divorce, and domestic violence. Through these gentle and creative methods, children are able to explore emotions, discover their strengths, and build coping skills.
My work with adults, couples, and families is focused on strengthening resiliency, discovering adaptive coping skills, building self-esteem, and discovering solutions for what led them to therapy. I help create a safe, open and compassionate space for all my clients.
I have more than fifteen years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings. My experience includes working with individuals with disabilities, terminally ill, older adults, immigrants, LGBTQ community, verbal/emotional/physical/sexual abuse, trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, divorce, and various children's issues. I am a certified laughter yoga leader.
